Fallow deer stalking: an elegant and varied hunting trophy.
Fallow deer offers may differ in their setting and animal category. Areas such as Guadalajara offer open pine forests and woodland, where trophy quality can bring surprises. Andalusia has large estates of open oak woodland, with impressive trophies supported by the climate and available food.
The category must be clear
Ask how the outfitter defines the animal being booked and whether supplements or changes in rates apply. If the offer refers to a score, ask how it relates to the price. Keep a copy of the conditions before the outing.
The setting changes the day
Check whether the hunt takes place on open ground or a fenced estate, the distance to the meeting point and internal travel arrangements. Choose a medium calibre if you intend to make use of the excellent venison. Some estates do not allow hunters to take the meat home, so check beforehand.
Services worth comparing
Check guidance, the number of hunting days and extras. Accommodation, meals or trophy preparation should not be assumed to be included. If you wish to share the experience, confirm conditions for companions and the number of hunters allowed.
