Female Spanish ibex: a considered mountain experience

Female ibex hunts offer an insight into estate management. The appeal lies in the experience, the guidance and the authorised selection of animals. They are an excellent option for getting started in stalking.

Identify the management hunt

Check that the listing states the species, sex and category being booked. If you want a female, clarify this before booking; if you want a male, see the dedicated page. The specific selection follows the outfitter’s conditions and criteria within the estate’s authorisation.

Budget and number of animals

Distinguish the price per animal from the cost of the day’s services. Booking several days does not automatically mean booking several animals. Check quantities, available hunting tags and extras, and ask what applies if the expected outcome is not achieved.

An outing suited to your experience

A management hunt can still be physically demanding. Ask about duration, access and guidance, particularly if this is your first mountain hunting experience. Information in advance helps you plan with realistic expectations and avoid last-minute decisions.
